Pitbull Fans Want to Know Why He Was Missing From Jennifer Lopez & Shakira’s Super Bowl Halftime Show

The Super Bowl LIV Halftime Show, co-headlined by Shakira and Jennifer Lopez on Sunday night (Feb. 2), was history in the making for the Latino culture.

Shakira did not only sing her biggest hits, such as “Waka Waka” and “Hips Don’t Lie,” but she also paid tribute to her Colombian/Lebanese roots by incorporating traditional dance moves from both countries. Lopez also used her stage time to proudly flaunt where she’s from by wearing a coat that had both the Puerto Rican and U.S. flag imprinted on it.

Further putting the Latino power on the forefront, Bad Bunny and J Balvin were the halftime show special guests, singing some of their global jams like “Callaita” and “Mi Gente.”

But despite the epic 15-minute performance, many fans had one question: “Where was Pitbull?”

He’s a Miami-born Cuban-American singer, he’s recorded songs with both Shakira and Lopez, including “On The Floor,” which she performed at the halftime show, and he’s known as Mr. 305. For fans, it only made perfect sense for Pitbull to make a cameo at the Super Bowl Halftime show, which took place in his hometown.

He may not have been in the official halftime show, but Pit did help kick off Super Bowl 54 at the NFL’s Tailgate Tropicale concert. He also made a cameo in an action-packed Super Bowl commercial for the Hard Rock Hotel with Lopez, DJ Khaled, and others.
