Hot Country Knights Make Late Night TV Debut on ‘Kimmel’ With ‘Asphalt’ Performance

Hot Country Knights brought the 90's to Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday night (Feb. 3), when they made their late night television debut.

The group, fronted by Dierks Bentley, performed their power ballad "Asphalt." Dressed in their characteristically cheesy-yet-nostalgic outfits and mullets, Bentley laments the "sweet asphalt" that led him away from his love, since he doesn't "really care if it's curvy or flat." 

In a recent press release, the band aimed to “bring real ’90s country music back to a format that’s been drowning in male sensitivity, cashmere cardigan sweaters and programed drum loops.”

Hot Country Knights is comprised of members of Bentley’s live touring band under alter egos: lead bass player Trevor Travis, lead guitarist Marty Ray (“Rayro”) Roburn, keytar/fiddle player Terotej (“Terry”) Dvoraczekynski, steel guitarist Barry Van Ricky and percussionist Monte Montgomery.
