Raekwon Announces New Album ‘The Emperor’s New Clothes,’ Out July 18

Hip-hop icon Raekwon is set to return with his highly anticipated eighth solo album, The Emperor’s New Clothes, releasing July 18 via Mass Appeal. The project arrives as the latest chapter in the Legend Has It… series, which celebrates New York’s hip-hop trailblazers.

Known for his masterful storytelling and mafioso rap blueprint, Raekwon has long stood at the pinnacle of lyrical craftsmanship. From Only Built 4 Cuban Linx… to decades of influential solo work, The Chef’s imprint on the culture is undeniable.

The Emperor’s New Clothes is stacked with features from elite voices including Westside Gunn, Conway The Machine, Benny The Butcher, Method Man, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, Nas, Stacy Barthe and Marsha Ambrosius.
