Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist Reunite for ‘Alfredo 2’

Five years after their Grammy-nominated collaboration Alfredo, Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist return with Alfredo 2, out now via Rabbit Vision/ALC Records/Virgin Music. The long-awaited album arrives alongside an immersive merch drop and short film that expand the duo’s creative universe.

Fans first caught wind of the sequel when cryptic Alfredo 2 signage began surfacing earlier this month. A full album listening and exclusive screening of Alfredo: The Movie followed in Los Angeles. Directed by Nick Walker and shot in Japan, the film blends yakuza noir and hip-hop mysticism, casting Gibbs and The Alchemist as ramen shop owners navigating a shadowy criminal underworld.
