Emily Litta Acknowledges Her Fighting Spirit In Recent Single “Show Up”
Singer-songwriter Emily Litta drops a powerful follow-up to her 2022 single “Messy,” titled “Show Up.” The compelling track is accompanied by a music video directed and shot by Alex Klover Guccione and Paul Guccione. The visuals are inspired by ‘90s home videos that transport the viewers back to the good old pre social-media era.
Being a millennial, Litta is highly-influenced by the late ‘90s and early 2000s. With “Show Up,” she revisits old school Pop and R&B, bringing back classic MTV videos. “I want my music to feel like waking up to watch music videos and buying CDs at the mall. We used a lot of synths from back when, kept it simple, vocal layering and a little rap moment too,” explains the artist.
Emily Litta doesn’t shy away from writing about her life and personal experiences. Pouring her heart and soul into her music, the multicultural singer writes songs that lift the weight off her chest, “I’m just a little bit just a little bit stuck in the middle but/ I’m a little bit scared of my enemies/ cause they look like everything I wanna be/ But I’m a fighter, a live wire/ I could’ve followed all my fears but I’m tired/ I’m a fighter, a live wire/ I could’ve followed all my fears but I’m/ I’m through.”
Embracing her culturally diverse background, Emilly Litta plans to integrate different genres into her music, among which are Techno, Rock ‘n’ Roll, and Jazz. The rising talent would also like to collaborate with Rosalía, Dua Lipa, The Weeknd, and Daft Punk. With inspirational songs like “Show Up,” there’s no doubt that she will achieve her goals in no time.
