Niccharles: A Bridge Between the Golden Age of Music and the Present Day

Niccharles’ music is like a breath of fresh air, exuding the warmth and timelessness of the golden age of American standards while still speaking to today’s listeners. A Philadelphia native with a love for jazz and smooth ballads, Niccharles channels the spirit of legends like Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, and Tony Bennett, offering a refreshing mix of nostalgia and modern sensibility.

His journey into music wasn’t a straightforward path. After studying violin in high school, Niccharles faced discouragement from pursuing a career in music, with well-meaning advisors urging him to pursue a more “profitable profession.” He went on to complete degrees from Temple University and Boston University, eventually working outside of music. But the spark for music remained, and in 2010, a karaoke performance of Frank Sinatra’s “My Way” on a Carnival Cruise ignited his passion to pursue his true calling.

Since then, Niccharles has built a career as a singer, songwriter, and performer. His music blends the classics with modern production, creating a sound that feels both nostalgic and contemporary. He’s particularly known for his romantic ballads, with songs like “No More Missing You” and “The Life of Love,” which pay tribute to both love and the human experience.

His 2022 holiday release, “It’s Christmas Time Once Again,” captures this same blend of nostalgia and sentimentality. His new 2024 singles, “I’m Looking for Santa” and “I Believe in Christmas,” continue the tradition, infusing the season with heartfelt lyrics that reflect his belief in the magic of Christmas. Whether through his renditions of standards like “Summer Wind” or his own compositions, Niccharles has created a sound that invites listeners to both remember and rediscover the music of an earlier era.

In an industry constantly searching for the next trend, Niccharles offers something truly special: a timeless voice that effortlessly bridges the past and present.
