Premiere: Denae Takes Us Higher With New Stripped Version Of Her Latest EP My Dark Place

Pop/rap singer-songwriter Tayler Denae, better known under her stage name Denae, is releasing a new acoustic version of her most recent EP titled My Dark Place. 

Her critically acclaimed EP has now morphed into a beautiful stripped version of the same five songs that were listed on the original record. 

Denae’s breathtaking vocal performance over minimalist soundscapes allows her lyricality to be more impactful than ever. 

Soulful and cinematic, Denae’s special sound revolves around fast-paced lyrical pop/rap vocals that trigger the whole spectrum of human emotions among the listener.  

With My Dark Place, she explores mental health issues with a visionary intuitiveness,  through her dark and honest approach. 

Talking about how music helped her overcome many stages of her life, she shares: “I grew up writing everything and anything, it was my way of escaping my crazy childhood… it’s funny though cause my music isn’t really an escape anymore, it just feels like a way to make sense of everything”. It’s no coincidence that Denae’s songs focus on the ups & downs of life, she adds “it’s all life is, a series of ups (di) and downs (né)”. Not to mention it’s her middle name.”
