BTS Couldn’t Be More Excited About ‘Parasite’ Winning Big at the Oscars
On Monday morning (Feb. 10), BTS took to social media following the Academy Awards to congratulate director Bong Joon Ho on Parasite's history-making success at the show.
"Bong Joon-ho, I really really really really congratulate you," the South Korean boy band captioned a pair of photos of the Korean filmmaker and cast winning and posing with their Oscars in a tweet using celebratory trumpet and horn emojis. (Tweet translated from Korean Google Translate).
During Sunday night's ceremony (Feb. 9), the South Korean thriller took home trophies for four of its six nominations, including best picture, best director, best original screenplay and best international feature film, and made history as the first non-English movie to ever win the Oscar for best picture in the awards show's nearly 100-year history.
