Chesca and Jon Z Dance it Out in ‘Deja De Hablar’ Exclusive
Puerto Rican artists Chesca and Jon Z have teamed up for “Deja De Hablar ” (Stop Talking) , the video for which is premiering exclusively on Billboard Friday (Jan. 31).
Chesca (born Francesca) has been in the entertainment biz for a while. She's featured on Pitbull's “La Reina De Blanco” track for the TV series Queen of the South and the theme song for the 2019 film Dora and the Lost City of Gold, plus took on an acting role in Nicky Jam’s El Ganador Netflix docu-series.
For his part, rapper Jon Z — real name is Jonathan Resto Quiñones — debuted on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart in 2019 with his song “Después Que Te Perdí” (with Enrique Iglesias). His music is equally influenced by reggaeton and American hip-hop, particularly trap.
Produced by Ten Towns, “Deja De Hablar” is an uptempo song that fusions pop and urban rhythms. Chesca sings about being tired of the lies and being seen as an object, lyrically entering in a battle with Jon Z, who is not capable of feeling real love.
The accompanying music video, directed by Joseph Labisi, features a one-on-one dance battle between the artists.
