Chuck D Unleashes

Hip hop legend and Public Enemy co-founder Chuck D has released Chuck D Presents Enemy Radio: Radio Armageddon, a 14-track sonic broadcast of truth, resistance, and rhythm. Now streaming across major platforms and available on vinyl and CD, the album marks Chuck D’s return to center stage—though his voice, message, and mission never left.

“Radio Armageddon is not just an album, it’s a frequency,” says Chuck D. “This project is a broadcast of resistance, revolution and rhythm. I’m proud to have these warriors alongside me on the dial.”

Released May 16 via Def Jam Recordings, Radio Armageddon unites pioneers and next-gen voices in a militant soundtrack for the times. Featuring hip hop icons like Daddy-O (Stetsasonic), Schoolly D, Phill Most Chill, Donald D, Jazzy Jay, and 1/2 Pint, the record also includes artists from Chuck’s SpitSLAM label such as The Impossebulls and Blak Madeen.

From the opening title track to the electric “Black Don’t Dead” with DJ Too Tuff, and the fiery finale “Signing Off” featuring Schoolly D, the project is unapologetically bold. The first single, “New Gens,” released April 18, was praised by Rolling Stone for its explosive mix of soulful horns, dub echoes, and old-school beats reminiscent of Chuck’s Bomb Squad era.

Produced by C-Doc with additional production by DJ MROK and vocal engineering by JP Hesser, Radio Armageddon is hip hop with a pulse—and a purpose.
