Farruko Wraps Up Gangalee Tour with Historic 4-Hour Concert in Miami: Highlights
After making the rounds in 2019 with his Gangalee Tour, Farruko has officially wrapped it up at the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami Saturday (Jan. 25)—a night which he proclaimed as a “historic” one in his career.
The sold-out show kicked off with a performance from El Chulo from Cuba, who sang three songs. Less than 20 minutes later, Farru appeared onstage sitting in a throne and wearing a Predator mask, starting the night with “Si Se Da.”
Joined by eight energetic dancers and a live band, he took fans on a musical journey of his career. During a four-hour concert that had a 54-songs setlist, he performed just about all of his hits and collaborations, such as “6 a.m.,” “Obsesionado,” “Lejos de Aqui,” “Passion Whine,” “Krippy Kush,” Ozuna’s “Baila Baila Baila,” and his own reggae version of Jerry Rivera’s “Que Hay de Malo."
With a packed house of people of all ages, Farruko performed the chart-topping hit “Calma,” where he was joined by Pedro Capo, before closing the show around 1 a.m. with the Rauw Alejandro-assisted track “Fantasias.”
The real showstoppers of the night, however, were his star-studded special guests, such as Guaynaa, Zion & Lennox, El Alfa, Lary Over, and Kendo Kaponi, who jumped on a stage for the first time since his arrest on charges of armed burglary and assault in Florida in 2018.

Special guests: First, we were surprised by Guaynaa, who performed “Rebota.” Then Tito El Bambino showed up to sing “No Le Bajes,” “Baila Morena,” and “Mi Cama Huele a Ti” with the headliner, and the two flaunted the admiration they have for each other. Other artists who stopped by Farru’s show included Zion & Lennox, Lary Over, El Alfa, Kevo, Bryant Myers, El Amenazzy, Dalex, Lenny Tavarez, J Quiles, Dimelo Flow, Jay Wheeler, Miky Woodz, Pedro Capo, Chimbala, and El Micha. From backstage, Quiles shared on his Instagram stories a thank you note that Farru had for his guests: “I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your friendship and for being here on this historic night for me. For me, without you, this night wouldn’t be the same.”
Tribute to Miami: At one point, Farruko paid tribute to his hometown Miami, showcasing the city’s most remarkable attractions as songs such as Will Smith’s “Welcome to Miami” and Miami Sound Machine’s “Conga” played in the background. He then sang some of Cubaton songs, including Jacob Forever’s “Hasta Que Se Seque El Malecon” and “Quiereme.”
Visual effects: In addition to light shows, smoke effects and dancers, each song had its own visual imagery playing from a large projector that dominated the entire stage. During his heartfelt performance of “Mi Forma de Ser,” never-before-seen photos of Farruko were shown in the background. For “Delincuente,” a recap video showed the arrests and controversies each artist (Anuel AA, Kendo and Farruko) has faced. Before paying a sweet tribute to his island with songs such as “Borinquen Bella,” the large screen showed impactful scenes of the Puerto Rican community overcoming the natural disasters.
Quick costume changes: As if he was hosting his own awards show, it’s safe to say that Farruko changed outfits about 10 times throughout the night. The Puerto Rican singer rocked everything from a bulletproof vest to a white puff jacket to a face mask to a tropical short-sleeved shirt to camouflage gear to even an ushanka hat.
Life lessons for his fans: Although he did not interact much with the audience, other than hype everyone up with his infectious music, Farru did take the time to school his fans on important life lessons. “A rich person doesn’t have money,” he said. “A rich person is someone who spends time with their loved ones and has good health. Money does not make a person. What makes a person is what’s on the inside.”
