Grammy’s Interim Chief Executive Says Beyoncé Not Performing at the Show is “Unfortunate”

Beyoncé is once again the most nominated artist for the GRAMMY awards but she won’t touch the stage. In an L.A. This is the third time in recent years that the leading vote getter did not take the stage, following Kendrick Lamar opting to not perform in 2019 and JAY-Z in 2018. Mason believes the show would be better if Beyoncé were to perform or attend.

“It’s unfortunate, because she’s such a big part of the Recording Academy,” Mason said of Beyoncé’s decision. “We absolutely wish we had her onstage.”
