According to a recent report from TMZ, trailblazing magazine publisher Larry Flynt, who founded the famed, salacious publication Hustler, died yesterday(February 10) from heart failure. He was 76 years old.
Flynt launched Hustler in 1974, a time when sexual freedom was still taboo, so he faced many First Amendment issues while getting Hustler off the ground. Eventually, Flynt started Larry Flynt Productions, which produced Hustler TV and several porn videos and spin off adult publications. He even opened a casino with his signature Hustler brand in 2000.
Flynt tried his hand at politics, taking a shot at a presidential run in 1984 and then ran for California Governor in 2003.
