Ice-T’s Protege Zieme Makes His Debut with “That’s The Way It’s Got To Be (Body and Soul)” Video

Introducing Zieme, Ice-T’s new R&B protege, who today has launched his first single and video for “That’s The Way It’s Got To Be (Body and Soul).”

The new single will be found on Zieme’s new album, which will arrive just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Ice-T took a great deal of interest in working with the New York-based singer. The soulful crooning of Zieme is best compared as a hybrid of Babyface and Maxwell, exciting Ice-T to work with him as it is reminiscent of the R&B era that he always loved.

Ice’s goal is to continue to direct Zieme to modernize the sounds of the top 70s, 80s, and 90s R&B hits for his new project Butter Smooth.

Zieme is the nephew of two members of the legendary New Jack Swing group Force MDs, which is where he received his start in performing. From there, Zieme would go on to collaborating and opening for names like Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, Lil Wayne, and more.

On February 11, Zieme and Ice-T, along with Ice’s wife Coco, will pay homage to love and R&B by hosting a listening event.
