Is Bad Bunny’s New Album Dropping Soon? Here Are 5 Clues

Bad Bunny might soon release a new album, and all the clues are spread across his social media accounts.

The 14-time finalist at the 2020 Billboard Latin American Music Awards, who is making the rounds with his Sech-assisted track “Ignorantes,” has been dropping hints on Twitter and Instagram that new music is on the way.

A tweet published on Valentine’s Day, in fact, informed his 1 million followers that he was leaving Twitter for a bit and returning when his album comes out. He then returned Monday (Feb. 24) with another tweet, hinting that he has 20 new hits up his sleeves.

Although the Puerto Rican artist has yet to confirm a release date, it’s safe to say that a fresh set of Bad Bunny songs is right around the corner. Bunny’s forthcoming album will follow his 2018 debut set X 100pre, which bowed at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart.

Bad Bunny, alongside Ozuna, leads the 2020 Billboard Latin American Music Awards as a 14-time finalist. The awards show will air live April 23 on Telemundo, following the three-day event and panel series LatinFest+ presented by Billboard and Telemundo in Las Vegas.

See all the times the “Callaita” singer has talked about his new music below.

On Monday (Feb. 24), Bunny shared a list of 19 fire emojis with the word “palo” next to it and one heart emoji with the word “gracias” next to it, hinting that his new set includes a 20-song track list.

His tweet from 10 days prior promised fans that he will return to the social media platform with his album in hand. Does this mean it's dropping this week?

In another tweet, he used the hashtag #YHLQMDLG with a “coming soon” emoji. Fans are speculating that this will be the album’s name. Our best shot is that the acronyms mean “yo hago lo que me de la gana,” which translates to “I do whatever I want.”

He let fans know that a new single was dropping Feb. 14 (his collaboration with Sech) but that his album would not be released on that day.

Meanwhile on Instagram, Bunny went undercover with a wig, dark glasses and a bandana covering his mouth, asking fans: “guess who this is and I will tell you when the album comes out.”
