Jennifer Lopez Shares Heartfelt Video Captured Right Before Super Bowl Halftime Show: Watch
Jennifer Lopez had an important gig as co-headliner of the Super Bowl LIV Halftime Show that took place Sunday night (Feb. 2) at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium. Following Shakira’s epic set, Lopez took the stage to continue the party, singing hits such as “Jenny From The Block” and “Waiting For Tonight.”
One of the memorable moments of her performance was when her 11-year-old daughter Emme Muñiz got onstage to kick off the 1999 hit “Let’s Get Loud.” Their performance brought awareness of the humanitarian crisis at the Southern border when dark patches of the field were illuminated by several neon structures with children caged inside.
Following her and Shak’s much talked about performance, Lopez shared a two and a half minute video that captured various heartfelt and exciting scenes before she hit the stage.
The black-and-white clip, directed by Jason Bergh, shows sweet moments from Lopez and her daughter hugging tight to praying with her dance team. “Keep us calm and safe! Help us to get through this,” she says. “Lord Jesus Christ, thank you and we are so grateful because we are going to rock this stadium!”
On Instagram, Lopez dedicated her Halftime show to girls around the world. “All I want my girls, the little girls on stage with me and all over the world to know is how to use their voices and be proud of everything they are,” she wrote. “We are proud to recognize that all of us together is what makes this beautiful country truly great.”
