Joe Biden is Planning to Reverse a Number of Trump Policies as Soon as He Assumes Office

As Americans patiently wait for Donald Trump to stop his foolishness and concede, Biden already knows what he’s going to do as soon as he assumes office on January 20th.

According to publications such as the New York Times and The Washington Post, Biden plans on reversing a number of policies instituted by Donald Trump as soon as he becomes president.

The Washington Post reports that Biden’s first plan of action is to get a handle on COVID-19. He will create a task force that will be co-chaired by former surgeon general Vivek H. Murthy and David Kessler, a former commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration. He will also appoint a supply commander to manage production and distribution for the vaccine when it is ready.

According to the New York Times, Biden will also send a letter to the United Nations saying that the U.S. will rejoin the Paris climate accord as well as the World Health Organization. He will also repeal the immigration ban on Muslim countries and reinstate DACA.

However, the fate of repealing Trump’s policies is being held in the hands of the state of Georgia, who is having two runoff elections in January. If Democrats do not win both runoff’s then Republicans will have a majority in the Senate. Biden might have to rely upon executive orders a little bit more than he probably wanted to. On top of that, Congress is narrowly divided with Democrats only holding 215 seats compared to Republicans 196.
