Justin Bieber Reveals the ‘Roughest’ Side of Fame in New Episode of ‘Seasons’

Releasing an album can be a nerve-racking thing no matter where an artist is in their career. But when you're Justin Bieber, you really feel that pressure.

The newest episode of Justin Bieber: Seasons — which became available for YouTube Premium members on Wednesday (Feb. 5) — sees Bieber battling the album-release jitters as he continued writing and recording for Changes last year.

"This has been the hardest, roughest season of my life," Bieber admits. "The pressure of delivering, delivering a good album and just a lot of different things."

Justin goes on to explain that being famous is actually a lot tougher than people may assume. "There's a lot of people that think that fame is this achievement that brings you fulfillment and happiness," he says. "And the truth is, there's this weight and this heaviness on you to achieve and to be something. People have these expectations of you. It's just a lot."

Even despite his anxieties over making his next album perfect, Justin says music is his way of coping with his day-to-day struggles. He also looks to his longtime health coach, Buzz Mingin, and especially to his wife, Hailey. The newest Seasonepisode, titled "Only Up From Here," shows Justin talking with Mingin and taking a trip to a Utah resort called Amangiri with Hailey in the middle of the album process to get his mind off the pressure.

The episode ends with Justin deliberating over which songs to put on the album, including a song called "Angels Speak," one that ironically didn't make the final cut. Another song that was in contention, "Recognition," apparently also didn't make the album, according to the track list Justin unveiled Instagram on Tuesday (Feb. 4).
