Karol G to Make Her Late-Night Performance Debut
Karol G is unstoppable. After wrapping up 2019 by celebrating her No. 1 hit "Tusa," with Nicki Minaj, on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart, the Colombian star is ready for her first late-night performance Friday on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Karol confirmed the news after posting two images on Instagram. The first post shows the flyer announcing that she will perform “Tusa” and the second is a photo in the green room enjoying a delicious hamburger with fries. “Ready for a late nite session,” she wrote.
“Tusa” became the first song to debut at No. 1 in 2019, and the first song by a female act in a lead role to bow at No. 1 since 2016, when Shakira’s “Chantaje,” featuring Maluma, bowed atop the list. It’s also the first title by two women in a lead role to open atop the chart since its inception in 1986.
