Just an hour after asking his fans if he should do it, Kid Cudi announced on Twitter that he will start his own podcast. Cudi plans to launch the new pod with a specific goal in mind.
“All love no shit talkin. Only uplifting artists and talkin w my friends and fans. All positive vibes,” Cudi tweeted. “It’ll be like ur hangin w me smokin and shootin the shit for awhile. Itll be meant to comfort the lonely.”
More and more artists are looking into podcasting as a new platform lately with Joe Budden being the hip-hop podcast OG. Troy Ave also recently launched The Facto Show on YouTube. Vince Staples teased the idea of starting a podcast as well but said on Twitter that he would need a million dollars from a streaming service to do it.
With all the connections Cudi has made throughout his career, it’ll be interesting to see who the former G.O.O.D. Music artist brings on the show.
