Ahead of the anniversary of Kobe Bryant’s death, current Lakers superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis are still adapting to the NBA icon being gone. After a road win in Chicago, James and Davis spoke to ESPN, revealing how they are coping with the loss of Bryant nearly a year later.
“Man, it’s a saying that time heals all,” James said. “And as devastating and as tragic as it was and still is to all of us involved with it, only time. And it takes time. Everyone has their own grieving process.”
“As we approach his one-year anniversary, it saddens our hearts to actually come to the realization that he’s gone,” Davis said. “I know I still have trouble with it, you still just can’t believe it.”

The Lakers will visit King James hometown of Cleveland on Monday, one day ahead of the death, and do not plan to amplify the death of Bryant on the court or throughout the organization.
“I try not to put myself back in that headspace, because it’s just too dark for not only myself but for our organization and for everyone that’s involved in it,” James added.
As always, rest in peace to Kobe Bryant.
