NBA and WNBA Aiming to Have ‘Black Lives Matter’ Painted on Courts for the Florida Games

The NBA and the National Basketball Players Association are planning to have “Black Lives Matter” on the sidelines of courts when the season continues, ESPN reports.

Both sideline of the three arenas at the Walt Disney World Resort will have “Black Lives Matter” painted throughout the seeding games and the playoffs.

With the WNBA seasons set to begin in Florida as well, the “Black Lives Matter” graphics are also planned to be on the courts in Bradenton, Floria. There is also the push to have “Say Her Name” on warm-up shirts to continue to amplify the women who have also been victims of police brutality.

Last month, players in both the WNBA and NBA pushed for the forthcoming play to have a part in the push for racial equality and social justice.

Both seasons are set to get going at the end of July.
