Nicky Jam & Daddy Yankee Reunite on ‘Muévelo’: Watch

Nicky Jam and Daddy Yankee have returned to their early days as a duo and demonstrate why they're known as "Cangris" in their new video “Muévelo” (“Move It”), produced by Play-N-Skillz.

The song, which features fragments of the 1994 song “Here Comes the Hot stepper” by Ini Kamoze has a unique sound. The lyric is fresh but, at the same time, their rap style connects the sound of the '90s in a modern urban era. Of course, it is indisputable that their reunion is huge. In the new clip, both show they've matured, that the past no longer affects them.

“Yankee is my battle brother, the past does not define who we are today,” says Jam in a press statement.

In the late '90s, Daddy Yankee and Nicky Jam were part of the duo Los Cangris which broke out in Puerto Rico and spread across Latin American and the United States. Eventually, both artists went their separate ways after battling personal problems. Cangris fans have waited 20 years for the official reunion.

“We wanted to come back, and we wanted to do it big,” added Daddy Yankee, who is also set to perform in Medellin, Colombia alongside Nicky Jam on March 28.
