According to several confirmed reports, New Orleans native and rising rapper Scarfo Da Plug was killed in Los Angeles over the weekend. He was 23 years old.
Scarfo’s music career was based in Atlanta, even though he was New Orleans and best known for his 2019 project Trap-Nola and its follow-up album Trap Jesus. Both albums were released shortly after a 2017 prison stint.
Scarfo was reportedly robbed last year in L.A., which is a part of the ongoing investigation into his death. Poice currently have no suspects in his murder.
Oakland rapper 24hrs paid tribute to Scarfo on IG, saying, “I’m really hurt bro, you just had a baby man, you was trying really to make it in this shit .. for you and yours … another black man murdered who was just trying to make it out.”
