Pharrell Delivers Evocative ‘Letter to My Godfather’ Performance on ‘Kimmel’: Watch
Pharrell served as the musical guest for Monday night's (Jan. 6) episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! as Skateboard P and the choir unleashed another heavenly performance of 2019's "Letter to My Godfather."
The emotive tune originally landed on Netflix's The Black Godfather and is an ode dedicated to legendary music executive Clarence Avant. Williams took the dimly-lit stage in front of the roaring choir, as they all wore matching black attire, but P's lime-green sunglasses stood out as a fashionable accessory.
2020 is shaping up to feature another jampacked campaign for Pharrell. His Something in the Water Festival is set to return to his hometown of Virginia Beach for the second consecutive year in April. The loaded festival boasts one of the more highly touted lineups of the year, which will see sets from Post Malone, A$AP Rocky, the Migos, and more.
