Playboi Carti Releases ‘MUSIC – SORRY 4 DA WAIT’ Deluxe Album

Playboi Carti has released the deluxe version of his chart-topping album MUSIC, titled “MUSIC—SORRY 4 DA WAIT. ” This version features four new tracks: “DIFFERENT DAY,” “2024,” “BACKROOMS,” and “FOMDJ.” This follows the album’s initial release, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 298,000 album equivalents in the U.S.

MUSIC has achieved significant streaming success, with 756 million streams worldwide and 283,000 streaming equivalents, marking the ninth highest rap album charting debut ever. The album also broke records on Spotify, with 139 million first-day streams, the highest debut of 2025 and the seventh highest of all time.

Carti made history by placing all 30 tracks from MUSIC on the Billboard Hot 100, joining Taylor Swift and Morgan Wallen as the only artists to achieve this. He currently holds 31 Hot 100 spots, including his collaboration with The Weeknd, “Timeless.”

Internationally, MUSIC debuted at No. 1 in several countries, including the UK, Australia, and Canada. In Poland, all 30 tracks charted in the top 200, a record for the Polish Top 200 chart.

MUSIC has surpassed the first-week sales of Carti’s previous album, “Whole Lotta Red,” and became the second-highest Spotify debut for a hip-hop album. The visualizer for “EVIL J0RDAN” has garnered nearly 5 million views.

MUSIC is Carti’s third No. 1 album on the Billboard 200, and it features collaborations with Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, The Weeknd, Skepta, Young Thug, and Ty Dolla $ign.
