St. Louis rapper Huey was confirmed to have been shot and killed in his hometown. Huey was 31 years old and best known for his 2007 hit record “Pop, Lock & Drop It.”
According to reports, at least 10 other people witnessed the shooting with only two victims, one being Huey whose gunshot wound was fatal, and an unidentified 21-year-old who was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Huey got his start in the music industry as a product of producer Memphitz who was an A&R for Jive Records. “Pop Lock & Drop It” spent 23 weeks on the Billboard charts in 2007 peaking at #6.
