Rihanna and LMVH reportedly closes the Luxury Fenty Fashion House. According to both Rihanna and LMVH, the Fenty Fashion House is taking a pause.
Say it ain’t so, it’s a wrap for the Paris-based luxury house know as Fenty… for now.
Reports from Wednesday (Feb.10) are stating that Rihanna and LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton) have mutually agreed to curtain Fenty Maison (house). The Fenty Fashion House is closing just less than two years after its first launch. In a statement issued to Women’s Wear Daily, a rep for LVHM announced the luxury conglomerate “have jointly made the decision to put on hold the RTW activity.” The decision is based in Europe and is pending better conditions.

Rihanna & The Luxury Fenty Fashion House
The last day of posting on Instagram for the brand was on Jan. 1. Additionally, the last collection drop on Fenty.com dates back to November 2020. It is understood the e-commerce site was the main delivery channel for Fenty fashions. Now the site will go dark in the next few weeks.
Complex shares reports that the hold on Fenty Fashion House is a conclusive pause. Furthermore, both Rihanna and LVMH “haven’t ruled out taking a second run.” Nonetheless, the two fashion-savvy businesses could start another luxury fashion house in the future.
Rihanna, reportedly, is sad about the developments. Usually, the singer is very hands-on when it comes to her brands. She would even fly out to Paris to meet with fabric suppliers and speak with designers. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she has been stuck in Los Angeles. With her limited mobility, Rihanna was only able to focus on her US-based brand Fenty Skin.
Despite the potential closure, Fenty was a groundbreaking brand in the fashion industry with a powerful legacy. When it launched in 2019, Rihanna became the first Black woman to helm a luxury brand at the fashion house.
Despite this news, we are sure that Rihanna’s reign won’t let up any time soon. How do you guys feel about it?
