Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” Hits Fourth Week at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100

Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” secures its fourth nonconsecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The track also ascends to No. 1 on the Radio Songs chart, becoming one of just seven titles to lead both the all-format ranking and the Country Airplay chart, and one of only three to achieve this feat simultaneously.

According to Billboard, the song’s impressive performance continues as it replaces Post Malone’s “I Had Some Help,” featuring Morgan Wallen, at the top of the Radio Songs chart. This marks the first time two titles that have topped the Country Airplay chart have consecutively ruled Radio Songs.

Released on American Dogwood/EMPIRE, with country radio promotion by Magnolia Music, “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” is from Shaboozey’s album Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going, which debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart in June.

The track tops the Hot 100 with 90.2 million radio airplay impressions (up 6%), 35.9 million official streams (down 4%), and 14,000 units sold (down 7%) in the United States from July 26 to August 1. It also achieves a third week at No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart and moves 2-1 on Radio Songs, marking Shaboozey’s first No. 1 on each list. It remains at No. 2 after nine weeks leading Digital Song Sales.

“A Bar Song (Tipsy)” interpolates J-Kwon’s 2004 hip-hop classic “Tipsy” and becomes the first song to reach the top 10, and now the top five, on all four Billboard radio charts. It holds the No. 1 spot on Country Airplay for a second week, rises 4-3 on Rhythmic Airplay, maintains its No. 5 position on Pop Airplay, and lifts 6-5 on Adult Pop Airplay.

Additionally, Shaboozey (American Dogwood / EMPIRE) has released the official music video for “Drink Don’t Need No Mix (feat. BigXThaPlug),” a standout track from his critically acclaimed album, Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going.

“Drink Don’t Need No Mix” highlights Shaboozey’s hip-hop skills while subtly integrating his core country sound for an unforgettable collaboration. The video captures Shaboozey and rising Dallas rapper BigXThaPlug enjoying a rowdy night at the bar, complete with whiskey, shots, pool, and dancing.

Shaboozey’s breakthrough country anthem and song of the summer, “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” has achieved 3X RIAA-Platinum certification and became his first #1 single on Billboard’s Hot 100, Country Airplay Chart, and Mediabase/Country Aircheck Chart. He made history as the first artist to break the top 10 across Country Airplay, Pop Airplay, Adult Pop Airplay, and Rhythmic Airplay charts with a single. Additionally, “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” is the second-ever single by a Black artist to top both the Billboard Hot 100 and Country Songs Charts.

The new video and single continue to showcase Shaboozey’s versatility and crossover appeal, solidifying his position as a rising star in both country and hip-hop music.
