SOURCE SPORTS: Vince Carter Officially Retires From the NBA After 22 Seasons

A legendary career has officially come to an end. Vince Carter has officially announced his retirement from the NBA. In an interview on the “Winging It” podcast, Carter revealed that he is “officially done playing professional basketball.”

VC’s career came to an abrupt end due to the coronavirus pandemic that shut the NBA season down in March. Vince used the outbreak to finally call it quits after a 22-year career. Throughout his more than two decades in the league, the 43-year-old shooting guard has played for the Toronto Raptors, New Jersey Nets, Memphis Grizzlies, Sacramento Kings, Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks and is ending his career with the Atlanta Hawks.

Vince will always be remembered for his vicious dunks in-game and in the 2000 All-Star Weekend Dunk Contest that gave birth to the nickname Vinsanity. Although Carter is done playing professionally, he did not rule out playing in celebrity games in the future but for now, will take it easy and play golf.
