Tania & Abraham Sign to Roc Nation Distribution and Release Spiritual Single “Óshun Yesá”

Cuban violinist duo Tania Gomez and Abraham Rivero, known as Tania & Abraham, have officially signed with Roc Nation Distribution and released their debut single “Óshun Yesá.” The track was produced by Grammy-winning producers Cool & Dre, with additional contributions from Lil Uzi Vert.

Discovered by Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez at a funeral, the classically trained violinists have now become the first of their kind to release music through the powerhouse label. Perez brought in Cool & Dre, whose credits include Beyoncé, JAY-Z, Cardi B, and Fat Joe, to shape the duo’s sound while Uzi lent his creative input.

Blending classical violin with Afro-Cuban chants and batá drums, “Óshun Yesá” pays tribute to Oshún, the Yorùbá goddess of love, fertility, and rivers. The song’s release on September 8 coincides with Oshún’s Feast Day, which in Cuba is celebrated with offerings, music, and pilgrimages alongside reverence for the Catholic Virgen de la Caridad del Cobre, the nation’s patron saint.

“Tania and Abraham’s style of music represent voices rarely heard on a global stage,” Perez said. “Their sound transforms tradition into timeless music, and it is an honor to highlight their talents.”
