The 1975’s Matty Healy Performs in a Hospital Gown After Canceling Show
The 1975 had to cancel their show in Brisbane, Australia, on Saturday night (Feb. 1) due to front man Matty Healy suffering from "a bout of serious sickness." The next night, Healy felt better and took the stage in Sydney, but really drove his point home by performing in a hospital gown.
And not just a hospital gown. Healy also rocked a mask and was connected to an IV as he dragged his feet up to the microphone. Luckily, the health speedbump didn't take too much away from the singer's usual onstage energy, as he continued to contort and dance while singing the band's set.
Matty took to Twitter before the performance to assure concerned fans that he is "alive and well," despite things getting "way too vibey." He also added that "Anyone who said that joking about me having corona virus ‘isn’t funny’ isn’t funny."
