The Game Pays Tribute to Kobe Bryant & Nipsey Hussle in Animated 'Welcome Home' Video

Though The Game claims to be retired from rap, that didn’t stop him from paying tribute to LA greats Nipsey Hussle and Kobe Bryant for his animated music video “Welcome Home.”

Directed by Stefano Bertelli of Seen Film, the LA-centric visual finds The Game hanging out at a burger spot spewing venomous raps, including a cheeky Nicki Minaj reference (“I could f— Nicki if Safaree could”).

On the flip side, an animated Bryant is shooting hoops at a park before he’s accompanied by the Compton star. Hussle later enters the fray, parked on top of his Marathon Clothing store, rapping his verse from the Born 2 Rap standout. “Gave my mind to these millions and my heart to the game/ Probably die up in these streets, but I survive through my name,” raps Hussle on the Bongo-produced scorcher.

The Game’s swan song, Born to Rap, was released in late 2019 and featured Ed Sheeran, Miguel, Travis Barker, Nipsey Hussle, Bryson Tiller, Anderson .Paak and more.
