The Who to Headline Teenage Cancer Trust Benefit Show

The Who will join an all-star group of performers lining up to headline this year's Teenage Cancer Trust benefit shows at London's Royal Albert Hall. The iconic rock band's March 28 show will feature singer Roger Daltrey and guitarist/singer Pete Townshend performing with a full orchestra as part of a week of gigs (March 23-29) in support of the only UK charity dedicated to meeting the needs of young people (13-24) battling cancer.

The TCT shows, conceived and curated by Daltrey, have traditionally featured all-star lineups (Paul McCartney, Oasis, The Cure) and this year's roster is no exception. Among the headliners are: Stereophonics with Paul Weller (March 25), Groove Armada (March 26), Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds (March 27) and Nile Rodgers and Chic (March 29). This year's gigs will celebrate the 20th year of TCT shows at Royal Albert Hall and the organization's 30th anniversary.

“When we were asked to play the first Teenage Cancer Trust concert back in 2000, we would never have dreamed that we’d be headlining again in 2020…or could have possibly imagined the huge difference these shows would have for the charity and, on the lives of thousands of teenagers and young people with cancer," Daltrey said in a statement.

“All the acts have given up their time for free, and this year the artists are absolute legends. It’s also incredible to have three artists who were at the very first gig – Kelly Jones, Paul Weller and Noel Gallagher – join us as headliners in our 20th year."
