Usher Kicks Off London Residency with Spectacular Show at The O2

Saturday night saw global superstar Usher electrify a crowd of 20,000 at The O2 in London, marking the start of his highly anticipated Usher: Past Present Future Tour. The performance, the first of 10 shows in the city, has garnered rave reviews, with critics praising Usher’s dynamic energy and showmanship.
The evening opened excitedly as Usher ascended to the stage, seamlessly weaving through his extensive catalog. Divided into 10 acts, the show showcased his signature blend of smooth vocals and precise choreography, including an impressive 15-minute skate routine. Usher took the audience on a three-decades-long musical journey, performing iconic hits like “Call Me A Mack,” “Yeah!,” “U Got It Bad,” “Love In This Club,” “There Goes My Baby,” “Climax,” and his recent chart-topper “Good Good.”
During a heartfelt moment, Usher reflected on his 30-year career, speaking directly to the London crowd. “Hopefully my music has been something to you. Maybe we fell in love together, maybe we had a good time together, but something brought you here. And I just want you to know, I appreciate the connection,” he shared.
The performance also included interactive moments, as Usher moved through the crowd during My Boo, handing out his own “USH POUNDS” and pouring shots for fans. Fashion played a starring role, with Usher donning a bespoke Union Jack jacket by Mowalola, complemented by pieces from Robert Wun, Ralph Lauren, and more.
The night continued with a post-show celebration on the River Thames, as Usher hosted over 100 VIP guests aboard a stylish Uber Boat by Thames Clippers, cruising past London landmarks. The party moved to “The Yeah Man” aftershow at The Box Soho, attended by musician RAYE and Burberry’s Daniel Lee.
Usher’s London residency continues through May, with upcoming shows in Paris, Berlin, and Amsterdam. For tickets, visit UsherWorld.com.
