Wale Drops New Single “Where to Start”

Wale returns with “Where to Start,” the latest single from his upcoming eighth studio album, set to release later this summer. The track, produced by Hollywood Cole, is out now via Def Jam Recordings.

“Where to Start” follows Wale’s earlier 2025 release “Blanco” and leans into a more soulful, romantic tone. Sampling SWV’s 1992 R&B hit “I’m So Into You,” the single finds Wale exploring deep connection and vulnerability with a woman who challenges and inspires him.

“I don’t know where we’re going but I just want to go until the end. I’m unthawing this heart that I never thought I’d ever use again,” Wale raps, bringing his poetic style to the forefront.

An accompanying visualizer adds to the mood, portraying Wale and a love interest bonding during a vinyl listening party, capturing the charm of newfound love.
