Early Thursday morning, Wale cleated his Instagram gallery and posted what appears to be the cover art for a new project.
The D.C. native posted the artwork of a cloudy post-war zone city reminiscent of cities where riots broke out after the death of George Floyd. In the bottom right corner is the parental advisory sticker.
Wale captioned the photo with what might be the album title The Imperfect Storm. This comes a day after his close friend J. Cole dropped a new song “Snow On Tha Bluff.”
Wale dropped his latest album Woww… That’s Crazy in October. The album expressed a lot of love for all things black exemplified in the single “Sue Me” where he raps the famous Issa Rae quote “I’m rooting for everybody Black.”
Wordplay Le’s new artwork, likely an expression of the times, mirrors his boots on the ground approach to protests.
