Fresh from his No. 1 charting album Whole Lotta Red, Playboi Carti takes the late-night stage to show what his core fans have been missing.
While touring is postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, artists continue to find creative ways to put together exceptional live performances. On Wednesday (Jan. 20), Carti appeared on The Late Night Show with Jimmy Fallon.
The 24-year-old rapper started by hanging from a ladder, before jumping onto the stage to be surrounded by hypemen, decked out in all-black. The “Slay3r rapper’s rockstar performance aligned parallel with his album, which received mixed reviews from his core fans. Despite the reception, his fans appreciated the release, given the two year wait period.

For two years, the Atlanta rapper coveted one of the most anticipated albums to drop in 2020. As the momentum heightened before its release, a couple of surprises were revealed including features from Future, Kid Cudi, and the album’s executive producer, Kanye West.
