Miss May I Are ‘Unconquered’ on First New Song in Five Years

Miss May I will soon embark on a tour as direct support for All That Remains, and in advance of the U.S. run, they've just dished out a music video for "Unconquered," their first new song in five years.

The last we heard from the metalcore faithful was 2017's Shadows Inside, the group's sixth full length that yielded new set list fixtures in "Lost In the Grey," "Swallow Your Teeth," "Under Fire" and the title track.

"Unconquered" brings dense atmospheric touches intertwined with push-pull rhythmic dynamics, melodic lead guitar playing and an uplifting, self-empowering clean-sung refrain.

Speaking about the song's lyrical message, vocalist Levi Benton said, "We as well as everyone else went through the wringer the last couple of years. Some of us worse than others and even more of us finding ourselves in the darkest places we never thought we’d end up. After that experience and making it out — it felt as if a battle had been won. That’s what 'Unconquered' is all about."
