Previews of 11 New Foo Fighters Songs Just Got Posted on Website
There’s nothing like a good tease to get the hype going around a new album and Foo Fighters are currently employing an interactive website filled with song snippets ahead of what is presumed to be a new album announcement. In doing so, fans have already started commenting on the little bits of music they’ve heard from the new record.
About the Foo Fighters’ Interactive Website
Those currently visiting the Foo Fighters website are getting an interactive frontpage that allows viewers to search around the items in the room while uncovering little pieces of music that presumably will turn up on the band’s next album.
The room is set up like a music lover’s bedroom, filled with all sorts of Foo Fighters posters, decals and photos. There’s even a guitar, a stack of CDs, a dirty clothes pile and more.
At press time, not all the items featured in the room had an interactive element to them, but plenty of the photos appear to be from recent recording sessions and tend to offer approximately 10 second snippets of music. We counted 11 interactive items placed within the room.
Head to the website and click around the room to check out what you can hear.
What Fans Are Saying About the Foo Fighters Music Snippets
Even though there are only snippets to be heard at this point, that has apparently been enough for fans to start sharing what they think about the new music and where they feel the band is going musically.
One fan noted on a Reddit thread dedicated to the discussing the interactive site, “I think those people saying ‘Wasting Light 2’ will be disappointed.” Another fan responded, “Honestly, I picked up more IYH [In Your Honor] vibes than WL.”
Some of the other observations from Reddit are as follows:
- Based off the snippet of the solo DG poster with the guitar on the far left, that song is gonna be a banger.
- The Ilan pic- are they using the cloud spotter riff again?
- Sounds like Violet has more backing vocals on some of these
- Those new songs are sounding EVIL
- Website is cool, reminds me of the old days of the cryptic marketing. I like most of the clips and it seems like the album will have a cool sound
