Slayer Announce New ‘Reign in Blood’ 40th Anniversary Tour Dates
Slayer fans have two more opportunities this year to witness the legendary thrash metal band honor the 40th anniversary of their iconic 1986 album, Reign in Blood. The group has officially announced two additional headlining dates in Los Angeles and Minneapolis, expanding their limited run of performances for 2026.
The reunited metal icons had previously confirmed appearances at major music festivals, including a performance at 2026‘s Rocklahoma in Pryor, Oklahoma, on Sept. 6, and a set at the Sick New World festival in Fort Worth, Texas, on Oct. 24. These new, non-festival dates offer fans a more intimate setting to experience the classic album in its entirety.
New Tour Stops and Support Acts
The band is set to bring their high-octane performance to the West Coast on Nov. 13, taking the stage at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. The group had previously teased this appearance with a social media campaign featuring the venue illuminated in iconic Slayer imagery. Supporting the Los Angeles date will be Cannibal Corpse, the Cavaleras (Max and Iggor) performing Sepultura’s Chaos A.D., and Crowbar.
The second newly announced stop is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 4, at the Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This date was similarly teased via a cryptic social media post featuring a roulette wheel landing on “666.” For the Minneapolis show, the band will be joined by Suicidal Tendencies, Down, and Hatebreed.
Ticket Information
Tickets for both performances are scheduled to go on sale this Friday, April 24, at 10AM local time. Fans are encouraged to visit the official Slayer website for detailed ticketing information and presale opportunities, which include a Citi Presale starting April 21 and an Artist Presale beginning April 22.
The Legacy of ‘Reign in Blood’
Released on Oct. 20, 1986, Reign in Blood remains a cornerstone of the thrash metal genre. Despite initial controversy surrounding the opening track, “Angel of Death,” the album became the band’s first to chart, peaking at No. 94. Over the last four decades, it has solidified its status as a masterpiece, featuring legendary tracks such as “Postmortem,” “Criminally Insane,” and the definitive closer, “Raining Blood.”
